Content Standards

Customz It is committed to providing high-quality DTF Transfers to businesses of all sizes, helping them meet the unique demands of their customers. We understand that custom apparel serves as a powerful tool for self-expression and sharing diverse perspectives.

At the same time, we’re aware that certain designs or messages can have unintended, negative effects on others. That’s why we aim to maintain a thoughtful balance between supporting creative freedom and avoiding content that could be considered offensive or harmful.

To help guide your submissions, we’ve outlined the following standards that explain what types of designs we will approve, may consider, or will not print when it comes to DTF Transfers.

At Customz It, we categorize submitted artwork into three review levels: Approved, Needs Review, and Not Accepted. These categories help us determine whether a design aligns with our creative and community standards. If your design falls under the Needs Review category, a team member may reach out to suggest possible revisions or alternatives.

Below is a general overview of what each category means. This list isn’t exhaustive, and each design is considered individually. Final approval is at the sole discretion of our team.

Approved: Designs We Will Produce

At Customz It, we’re happy to print designs that:

  • Are respectful and unlikely to offend anyone
  • Use family-friendly language and imagery
  • Do not violate copyright or intellectual property laws
  • Are submitted with proper usage rights or licensing

⚠️ Needs Review: Designs That May Require Changes

Some designs may fall into a gray area and could require modifications before we proceed. These include content that:

  • Contains defamatory or slanderous language
  • Promotes bullying or targeted harassment
  • Depicts individuals in a dehumanizing way or encourages violence
  • Includes vulgar language or graphic material
  • Has suggestive imagery or text, even in artistic, health, or medical contexts
  • Portrays violent scenes, references, or symbols
  • Focuses on or supports illegal behavior
  • Promotes or defends criminal actions
  • Contains statements that could incite harm or unrest

Our team will evaluate these on a case-by-case basis and may reach out to discuss possible revisions.

Not Accepted: Designs We Will Not Produce

To protect our standards and community values, Customz It will not print any design that:

  • Violates intellectual property laws (e.g., copyrighted logos, characters)
  • Involves libel, fraud, or illegal activities
  • Encourages abuse, hate, or violence toward any person or group
  • Uses hate speech, slurs, or derogatory language
  • Contains profanity or explicit language
  • Promotes or glamorizes hard drug use
  • Features graphic sexual content or nudity
  • Includes any content—text or imagery—related to children or minors in a sexual or suggestive context
  • Encourages underage use of alcohol, smoking, or marijuana

If you’re unsure whether your design meets our guidelines, please feel free to reach out to our team — we’re here to help!
